Fee Structure
In accordance with Australian Psychological Society (APS) guidelines, session fees range between $120 and $245, depending on individual patient circumstances and which psychologist is consulted.
Initial consultations: $140 - $245 per 50-minute hour
Subsequent consultations: $120 - $218 per 50-minute hour
Clients are expected to pay for their consultation at each appointment.
Medicare Rebates
Medicare rebates for clients referred by a medical specialist or a GP under a Mental Health Care Plan range between $83.25 and $122.15 per 50-minute hour, leaving a gap to be paid by the client of between $36.75 and $122.85.
Joondalup Psychology Centre offers clients the convenience of HICAPS technology, which means that Medicare rebates can be credited to client’s bank account at the time of consultation. Most private health fund rebates are also processed at the time of consultation.
Government Pension And Health Care Card Discounts
Clients who hold a current Health Care Card or government pension card may be eligible to be bulk billed.
